What is Pickle Ball

Pickleball is fun, social and friendly! The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a fast-paced, competitive game.

The Basics

• A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
• Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
• Played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes.
• Played as doubles or singles.
• Can be enjoyed by all ages and skill levels

Fees to play are as follows:

• Adult: R360 per quarter
• Students/scholars: R210 per quarter
• Families (3 members or more) : R900 per quarter
• If you already a full member of Rietondale Tennis, you pay only an extra R90 per quarter

Visitors are welcome to come play

• R30 per visit

Renting the facility

• Pickleball parties are fun and popular
• R50 p/p for renting courts for exclusive use
• Price includes bats (depending on availability)
• Own balls must be provided, or bought from the clubhouse in advance
