  • 14th May, 2022 - Attached is schedule for the Finals night on Saturday 21st May. The evening will kick off with a squash social (club night) from 15.30-17.00 before the finals begin at 5pm. All are invited to attend the social (even if not in tournament).   All are invited to watch, the end of season social will follow straight afterwards.

Recent Results
About
We're pleased to announce that sign-up is now open for this years club closed championships! To include more players and make things easier for everyone, the club closed will be run over 1 month with a finals day and end of season social to cap off the event.

DATES
The tournament will start Wednesday 13th April with a semi finals evening on Friday 20th May and finals day on Saturday May 21st with a social event in the evening.

The deadline for entry is Monday 11th April.

FORMAT
The event will be a knockout format, main draw graded A, B & C and womens graded A & B depending on number of entries. All draws will be fluid so giving everyone the chance to reach the A final. We are also including a Handicap tournament which is open to all levels, beginner to advanced to pro.

All games in the early round will be played at a time convenient to both players from 13th April with cut-off dates (actual dates tbc) for each round by which the matches must be played.

Matches in both the graded and handicap events will be best of 5, PAR 11 scoring.

COST
Entry is £5 per person. this gets you entry to both the graded and Handicap tournaments.

REFEREEING and SUBMITTING SCORES
Players in all rounds until the semi-finals can referee the games themselves or request a referee (to be sourced by the players themselves). All results (including game scores) must be submitted via SportyHQ tournament page.

Enjoyed the tournament and the opportunity to play people a lot better than me. I did feel it was all a bit rushed timescales wise though - perhaps that was because it was a new way of doing it via SportyHQ

Maybe two larger graded events would have prevented the last minute rush for courts and fixtures before finals day? Though you do get more winners this way… great events overall though, well done!
